Firm skin, full cheeks and plump lips are all characteristics of a youthful face. All of which can be achieved through the use of a dermal fillers treatment! Dr. Sean Bidic, Dr. Vinay S. Gundlapalli and Dr. Casey Gene Sheck of American Surgical Arts make use of Restylane®, JUVÉDERM®, RADIESSE®, and Sculptra® Aesthetic dermal fillers. All to help New Jersey women and men retain or regain the appearance of youth.

How does it work?

Once you’ve had a consultation with one of our surgeons discussing what your goals are for your looks, they will help you decide on which filler is best for you. From there the procedure will be scheduled and take place. The surgeons use these dermal fillers to add volume to or eliminate a wrinkle on a specific part of the face. Cheeks, lips, nasolabial folds, and lines around the mouth are the most popular areas on the face to enhance with dermal fillers. So if you’re looking for another area to be enhanced, another treatment may be better for your goals. This will also be discussed during your consultation.

Your Dermal Filler Procedure

As we age, the natural collagen in our skin diminishes and fat atrophies. This contributes to lines, wrinkles, and volume displacement in the form of tear troughs, flattened cheeks, and lower face fullness. Facial or dermal fillers are long-lasting solutions to combat this process. Administered through several tiny injections at precise areas of the face, the treatment fills lines, wrinkles, and scars from the inside out.

What to Expect After Treatment

Whether you and the surgeon choose Restylane, JUVÉDERM, RADIESSE, or Sculptra for the aesthetic rejuvenation of your facial features, you will enjoy smoother skin and a more youthful appearance. Results can vary in terms of how quickly they appear. We have some patients who see results almost immediately after the treatment. However, it can take upwards of a few weeks for your fillers to be fully set and for you to see the peak of your treatment’s results. If at any point throughout this process you feel intense irritation or generally unwell please contact your primary care physician. We reference that simply as a precaution, typically there is little to no recovery time. Within 24 hours of the procedure any irritation or bruising should be in the process of fading or entirely healed.
