Education & Training
Dr. Bidic completed a fully accredited plastic surgery residency, the only training that teaches reconstructive and cosmetic surgery of the entire face and body. This requires demonstration of a surgeon's knowledge and ability to safely treat all issues related to deformity or cosmetic enhancement.
Dr. Bidic also completed an additional 1-year hand surgery fellowship through UCLA's Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and passed the written certificate of added qualification exam in hand surgery. Both require a rigorous maintenance of certification.
Dr. Bidic earned his Bachelor of Science in healthcare systems management from the Wharton School of Business. This experience gives him a more complete understanding of the connection between the administrative and clinical aspects of managing a practice. Leadership
Dr. Bidic is plastic surgeon who teaches other plastic surgeons. In addition to being a clinical instructor for the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at UCLA, Dr. Bidic was an assistant professor and the director of the hand surgery fellowship at another of the United States' most prestigious plastic surgery programs, the University of Texas Southwestern School of Medicine. He is also 1 of 5 plastic surgeons who oversee the annual international plastic surgery in-service exam for training and practicing plastic surgeons.
Artistry
Between his general and plastic surgery training, Dr. Bidic studied art at Carnegie Mellon University, earning a Master of Fine Arts in sculpture. He is one of just a few active board-certified plastic surgeons with this combination of credentials in the United States.

The study of art improved my ability to appreciate my environment through multiple perspectives so that I might better understand my patients and the world around me.
