Board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. Sean Bidic is surrounded by a caring and knowledgeable staff at American Surgical Arts. Deborah Lago, Practice Manager
Debbie joined our practice in 2013 with over 30 years of experience in the medical field. Debbie started her career as an LPN at Newcomb Hospital and was there serving patients for 15 years. She then worked in a surgical office as a nurse and an assistant administrator for 13 years. Debbie chose to go back to the operating room where she was an OR Nurse at Inspira Health Network. Debbies passion for patient interaction brought her to our practice where she strives to provide the highest quality of care to the patients of American Surgical Arts.
She was born and raised in Millville, NJ, where she still resides today with her husband, Ray. Debbie and her husband loves to travel and spend time with their 3 grandsons.
Gretchen Bidic, Medical Aesthetician
Gretchen Bidic has a background in fine arts and a Bachelor of Arts in communications. She is a licensed aesthetician who specializes in nipple and areola tattooing after breast reconstruction. Gretchen works to provide a relaxing and comfortable environment in which patients can discuss skincare concerns and receive treatments to achieve a healthy and youthful appearance.
Sharon DiGerolamo, Medical Aesthetician, CoolSculpting Team Leader, Permanent Cosmetics
Sharon has always had a passion for the health and wellness industry and worked in the healthcare arena since 2001 when she began her career with a pharmaceutical advertising agency. As a former Client Services Account Executive, Sharon's philosophy of understanding her client's needs and exceeding their expectations, has given her an excellent track record with client retention and even earned her a "Rising Star" award by the Healthcare Business Women's Association.
Sharon decided she wanted a more "hands on" role in the aesthetic community and enrolled at the prestigious Rizzieri Aveda School in Voorhees, NJ. In 2014 Sharon attended Beau Institute in Mt. Laurel NJ to learn the art of Permanent Cosmetics under the direction of internationally acclaimed expert, Rose Marie Beauchemin. Since joining the American Surgical Arts team, Sharon finds it extremely rewarding to play an integral part in helping our clients feel better about their appearance. Her outgoing personality and compassionate nature makes every client, new or not, feel like Sharon has been their skin therapist forever.
When she's not in the skin care suite at American Surgical Arts, Sharon enjoys spending time with her husband and two young boys, and working as a freelance makeup artist.
Lauren Carapucci, Patient Care Coordinator
Lauren has been the Patient Care Coordinator at American Surgical Arts since August 2010. She was born in Philadelphia and raised in the small town of Pittsgrove, where she attended Schalick High School. Lauren has her Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Rowan University. It is very fulfilling to Lauren that she has been with our Vineland plastic surgery practice since the beginning and continues to grow in her position. She enjoys working at Dr. Bidic's office because of the many wonderful patients she is able to help through their journey, whether it is a breast cancer patient or a cosmetic patient, each patient inspires her in their own unique way.
Aside from working at American Surgical Arts, Lauren is also a Philadelphia Eagles cheerleader. She has been a member of the squad since 2011 and has been involved in many charitable events with the Eagles organization such as the Red Cross Project and Huddle Up for Autism. She has also participated in many high-profile appearances such as the amfAR Gala in New York City, the Maxwell Football Club Awards in Atlantic City, and the 2012 NFL Draft at Radio City Music Hall.
In Lauren's spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and her fiancé, Pete. She loves spending her summers down the shore relaxing on the beach, going on the boardwalk, and going out to dinner. Lauren is a huge dog lover, owning a Chihuahua, Bella, and a Miniature Pinscher, Bentlee.
Lisa Burgess, Surgical Care Coordinator/Nurse Liaison
Lisa joined our practice this past spring as our Surgical Care Coordinator/Nurse Liaison for Dr. Gundlapalli. She brings over 16 years of specialized Maternal-Child, Women's Health and Surgical nursing experience to our rapidly growing practice. Whether it's assisting with procedures, transitioning a patient through the surgical process, holding a worried hand or sharing a laugh, Lisa's warmth and dedication to her profession shines through.
Highly motivated, Lisa is currently pursuing a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing and a Master's degree in Business with a concentration in Healthcare Administration. Her goal is to effectively help lead our ASA team into the future, delivering exemplary healthcare with an extraordinary patient experience.
In her personal life, Lisa enjoys traveling with her husband of 14 years and their three children. Hilton Head Island, SC is the family's "second home" and where they hope to permanently settle in the future. She also enjoys spending time with family and friends, photography, cooking and gardening. We welcome her with open arms into the American Surgical Arts family.
Evelyn Ulzheimer, BS, MHS, PA-C
Evelyn Ulzheimer, a New Jersey native, is a graduate of Drexel University of Philadelphia, PA. There she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B.S in Health Sciences and completed her M.H.S in Physician Assistant Studies. During her training she gained clinical experience in a variety of settings, including a three month preceptorship with the Yankton Sioux Tribe of South Dakota. After graduating, she spent about two years as a surgical Physician Assistant with a prominent Spine Surgeon in Southern New Jersey. She then took a job as a Plastic Surgery Physician Assistant at Cooper University Hospital, where she worked with six practiced attending physicians. During this time, she obtained vast knowledge and understanding in treating patients of all socioeconomic status with a multitude of conditions in an inpatient and outpatient setting. She fell in love with the variety of work, cosmetic as well as reconstructive, that the field of Plastic Surgery had to offer. Due to her diverse training in rural, urban, and community settings, she brings a valuable skill set and perspective to the clinical team. She is excited at the opportunity to work with Dr. Sean Bidic as her collaborating physician. Her passion for the profession has led her to a practice that is so strongly dedicated to helping patients along their journey, whether it is through reconstructive or aesthetic procedures. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, and the Association of Plastic Surgery Physician Assistants.
She currently lives in Philadelphia, PA, where she spends much of her down time practicing yoga, riding her bike, hiking with her two dogs, and spending time with family and friends.
